Panda Forces is an alternative band from Nashville, TN. Vocalist Lucy Claire and guitarist Nathan Hoffner come together in musical harmony. This duo is shows the duality of their music; fun and poppy with an edge. They bring friends out on stage to round out their sound, creating a unique show every time. You can hear elements of pop, indie, shoegaze, punk, and 90s pop/rock in their sound. Panda Forces uses their music to explore the realm of dreams and theories, both literally and lyrically. They strive to create an experience with their music and take the listener on a journey.
Lucy, aka Bird, is the singer and cowriter in Panda Forces. Aside from the band, she is also a writer and mom. She enjoys travel, reading tarot, coffee and tea, vegan food, and finding the next great adventure. Originally from Maryland, she has lived in the Nashville area since 2015, and has yet to find anywhere else in the world that felt more like home. Some of her favorite artists are The Shins, Mitski, Cigarettes After Sex, Winnetka Bowling League, Third Eye Blind, Fleet Foxes and Pink Floyd.
Hi, I’m Nathan. I’m originally from the shores of South Carolina where I grew up before I made the move to Nashville in 2017. I spent most of my childhood developing a love of music from my parents. They were very fond of live music and always took me to go see their favorite artists which transferred over to me. I started playing trombone when I was in middle school and picked up the guitar when I was 15. I soon wanted to learn every instrument I could get my hands on and became a drummer soon after. There was a long period of time where I wasn’t in a band till Panda Forces and I’m glad that I have been able to write some amazing songs with Lauren. Some of my favorite artists/bands are Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Strfkr, Metronomy and David Bowie to name a few.
